Protests in Gilgit-Baltistan's Danyor as Pak govt illegally demolishes shops, homes

In the statement addressed to "fellow compatriots," Pahlavi warned that the situation had reached a highly sensitive point and urged people to prioritise their safety while maintaining unity through peaceful means of resistance.

Exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi praised the heroism of Iranian protesters and urged the military to join the people following the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as Supreme Leader. Pahlavi supported US-Israeli efforts to dismantle the regime's "infrastructure of terror" while accusing the leadership of using civilians as human shields.

In a blog post analysing the crisis, Choudhry argued that the unrest cannot be explained solely by reactions to international events. He said the intensity of the protests also reflects long-standing political grievances among residents of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Daily wage labourers have been among the worst affected, as many rely on day-to-day earnings to support their families. During the strict curfew, residents expressed frustration over the closure of markets and the difficulty in accessing essential supplies.

According to Bigyanraj Sharma, a member of the high-level commission formed to investigate the atrocities, confirmed the lapses without further elaborating on the contents of the report. He noted that irregularities were observed while setting up barriers around the federal parliament.

A high-level committee submitted a 1,000-page report to Nepal's interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki regarding the Bhadra incidents. The panel blamed "poor governance" and "political power-sharing" for the unrest, recommending "action against those found responsible" and systemic reforms to prevent future occurrences.

The Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) has condemned the alleged enforced disappearance of activists Saeed Tiyono and Sabir Abro by Pakistani agencies. JSFM termed the abductions "state terrorism" and threatened highway protests unless they are released, while urging the UN and UK Parliament to intervene against human rights violations.
