President Ghani approves Balkh governor's resignation

Kabul [Afghanistan], Dec.18 (ANI): Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has approved Balkh Governor Atta Mohammad Noor's resignation. He has appointed Engineer Mohammad Dawood as Noor's successor, the Presidential Palace said in a statement on Monday.

Kabul [Afghanistan], Dec.18 (ANI): Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has approved Balkh Governor Atta Mohammad Noor's resignation. He has appointed Engineer Mohammad Dawood as Noor's successor, the Presidential Palace said in a statement on Monday.

Tolo News said the situation in Balkh capital Mazar-e-Sharif is normal following Noor's resignation.

Why he resigned is yet to be ascertained. Sources said that it could be revealed on Monday afternoon by his camp of supporters. (ANI)
