PoK President rebuked for years of misrule in region

Karachi [Pakistan], January 10 (ANI): Nushrat Qureshi, a political activist hailing from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), has unequivocally lambasted PoK President Masood Khan, for decades of complicity of top politicians in the subjugation of the region.

Addressing an event in Karachi, she not only denounced the repressive measures of Islamabad to keep the region marginalised, but also lashed out at local authorities, who just to gain some political patronage and money, have been working at the behest of Islamabad.

Nushrat reminded the audience of a perpetual political conspiracy being played out by Pakistan to keep the PoK under its illegal occupation.

"The part of Kashmir we live in is called `Azad Kashmir', so called `Azad' or Free. I am saying this with great disappointment that this particular word has become an ugly blot for Independence. You can see the freedom of PoK in Act 74. Our Prime Minister is working under the lent officers appointed by Islamabad. Our Supreme Court is under the lent officer", Nushrat said.

"Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistanoccupied Kashmir are divided with an aim to give space to political parties of Pakistan. This is a deliberate attempt by Pakistan to continue its hold on the region illegally. The demography of the region has been changed by Islamabad," she added.

Pakistan has misruled the region for more than seven decades.

There is a Prime Minister and President in PoK, but they are merely stooges who have been helping Islamabad fill its treasuries through economic depredations.

The people of the region have been denied basic fundamental rights and are meted out with severe brutality if they demand for. (ANI)

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

"We reject this statement made by Pakistan on the matter. India's credentials regarding non-proliferation are impeccable and well recognised by the global community. A country with a well-documented history of clandestine nuclear proliferation can hardly preach the virtues of export controls and proliferation risks. Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
