PML-N should not expect any support from us: PPP

Islamabad [Pakistan], December 06 (ANI): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) on Tuesday announced that ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should not expect their support for the "third time".

"We have saved their government twice, we will not save them again in the future," the Express Tribune quoted Pakistan's former president and PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari as saying.

Zardari made the announcement during party's 50th golden jublee celebrations at capital's Parade Ground today.

Only people's vote will decide the future of the country, he told thousands of attendees at the ground.

He also attacked former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf and said that after realising not-so-bright future in the politics, the former military ruler had taken refuge abroad.

Zardari's son and PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto, in his address, said his party had made many sacrifices for laying the foundation of democracy while fighting the dictatorship in the country.

"This is party's third generation, carrying on the legacy for the sake of democracy," said Bilawal.

During the celebrations, a felicitation ceremony was also carried out for those who participated in various movements to establish a democratic rule in Pakistan. (ANI)

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

"We reject this statement made by Pakistan on the matter. India's credentials regarding non-proliferation are impeccable and well recognised by the global community. A country with a well-documented history of clandestine nuclear proliferation can hardly preach the virtues of export controls and proliferation risks. Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
