PM Oli assures Nepal's territory will not be used against India

Kathmandu [Nepal], May 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his Nepali counterpart KP Sharma Oli on his arrival at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Kathmandu on Saturday as the latter assured that Nepal's territory will not be used against India.

Kathmandu [Nepal], May 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met his Nepali counterpart KP Sharma Oli on his arrival at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Kathmandu on Saturday as the latter assured that Nepal's territory will not be used against India.
He was then greeted by two former Nepal's prime ministers Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Sher Bahadur Deuba and former foreign affairs minister of Nepal Upendra Yadav.
Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale said in a press conference that Prime Minister Modi took part in a with Nepal's senior cabinet members.
They did a detailed review of specific projects and initiatives taken between the two countries.
During the high-level meeting, Prime Minister Oli said that Nepal will be sensitive to the bilateral concerns with India and assured that Nepal's territory will not be used against India.
He further said, "Friendly relations between India and Nepal will be developed to new heights."
Prime Minister Oli stressed on the fact that within two months two heads of Nepal and India, he himself and Prime Minister Modi respectively met each other.
He said that this would ensure a positive development of bilateral relations between the two countries in future.
Further, the two leaders agreed to "bridge the commitment implementation gaps" between two countries.
Prime Minister Modi extended his gratitude toward Nepal's government for their hospitality.
He is further scheduled to attend a reception hosted by the Ambassador of India. (ANI)
