New Delhi [India], Feb 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned home on Monday after completing a four-day four nation visit to Jordan, the State of Palestine, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman.

He was received by the External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj at the Technical Area of the Palam Airport.

Prime Minister Modi first visited Jordan, which was the first ever visit by an Indian Prime Minister after 30 years.

The Prime Minister held talks with his Jordanian counterpart Hani Al-Mulki and other officials.

Prime Minister Modi has also invited the King Abdullah II of Jordan to visit India.

He then flew to Palestine, escorted by Israeli and Royal Jordanian choppers to Ramallah.

During his visit, he laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Late Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in Ramallah and also signed the visitors book in the museum.

He met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Both sides signed six Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on infrastructure, national security and defence during the visit.

He returned to Jordan, from where to emplane for Abu Dhabi in the UAE.

In the UAE, both sides signed five Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs).

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, hosted a dinner for Prime Minister Modi.

Prime Minister Modi was the first foreign leader to be invited to the palace.

He also paid tribute to Emirati soldiers at the Wahat Al Karama Memorial in Abu Dhabi before departing for Dubai.

Prime Minister Modi addressed the Indian community at the Dubai Opera, where he inaugurated the Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) Temple project via video conferencing.

The sprawling temple, spread over an area of 55,000 square meters will be located off the Dubai-Abu Dhabi Sheikh Zayed Highway at Al-Rahaba in UAE.

Prime Minister Modi met his Kyrgyz counterpart Sapar Isakov. He also held a meeting with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) business leaders.

He also called on the Vice President, Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Prime Minister Modi delivered a keynote address at the inauguration of the World Government Summit on Sunday.

Thereafter, he departed for Muscat in Oman, where he received a ceremonial welcome by Sayyid Fahd Bin Mahmoud Al Said, the Deputy Prime Minister for Council of Ministers of Oman.

He called on Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said at Bait Al Barakah Royal Palace, who hosted a dinner for him.

The Prime Minister Modi also addressed the Indian community at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex and visited a 125-year-old Shiva Temple in the Matrah area of Old Muscat.

After offering his prayers, he met with a group of the Indian community outside the temple.

The Shiva Temple was constructed by the merchant community of Gujarat around 125 years ago. It was subsequently renovated in 1999.

The temple has three deities- Shri Adi Motishwar Mahadev Temple, Shri Motishwar Mahadev Temple and Shri Hanumanji Temple.

During the auspicious days and festivals, more than 15,000 devotees visited the temple to offer their prayers.

After visiting the mosque, Prime Minister Modi signed the visitors' book and met supporters at the mosque. (ANI)
