Philippines logs 6,100 new COVID-19 cases, 1,165,155 in total

Canadian Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu will be embarking on a visit to Mumbai from September 18-19 to strengthen Canada’s trade and investment relationship with India by advancing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).

Philippines Ambassador to India Josel F Ignacio, at the 25th anniversary celebrations of the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), said that India and the Philippines have witnessed a significant intensification of ties over the past decade, with the relationship elevated to a strategic partnership last year.

An Indian Parliamentary Delegation led by Harivansh,  Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha, is participating in the 69th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference (CPC) being held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 12 to 19 September.

"Nansha Qundao, including Meiji Jiao, Zhubi Jiao and Zhongye Dao, are China’s inherent territory. It is totally legitimate and lawful for China to conduct construction and other activities on its own territory, a matter within China’s sovereignty," Guo said.

Philippines Foreign Secretary Ma Theresa P. Lazaro on Tuesday expressed gratitude for India's support and acknowledgement of the 2016 arbitral order on the South China Sea, while noting that she is hopeful of another Quad summit meeting in November.
