People prepare for Baloch National Gathering despite interference

Residents in Balochistan's Zehri and Surab regions are facing a severe humanitarian crisis due to a four-day curfew and military operations. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee reported acute food shortages, blocked healthcare access, and alleged house raids by security forces, urging international bodies to investigate these fundamental rights violations.

The exhibition aimed to draw international attention to what they described as systemic discrimination and political repression affecting these communities. Pakistani security forces reportedly conducted raids across Balochistan's Surab, Gwadar, and Turbat districts, leading to allegations of property damage and civilian mistreatment. Locals and the Baloch Yakjehti Committee claimed authorities destroyed homes and fuel stocks, severely impacting livelihoods during Ramadan, while night raids in Turbat sparked further human rights concerns.

An Anti-Terrorism Court in Quetta has declared 12 Baloch activists, including Sabiha Baloch, as proclaimed offenders. Charged under strict anti-terror laws, activists argue these legal actions are a systemic attempt by Pakistan to intimidate and silence voices protesting human rights violations and enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

Three young men were shot dead in Balochistan's Panjgur district, allegedly by state-backed "death squads." The Baloch Yakjehti Committee condemned the killings alongside recent attacks on intellectuals and artists, urging the UN to investigate these escalating human rights violations and targeted violence across the province.

The Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) has condemned the alleged enforced disappearance of activists Saeed Tiyono and Sabir Abro by Pakistani agencies. JSFM termed the abductions "state terrorism" and threatened highway protests unless they are released, while urging the UN and UK Parliament to intervene against human rights violations.

Tensions involving Iran, Israel and the US have disrupted cross-border trade, causing fuel and food shortages in Pakistan's Balochistan border districts. Markets in Gwadar, Kech and nearby areas are witnessing sharp price hikes as Iranian exports decline, raising concerns over worsening supply shortages.

Two bodies were found in Panjgur, Balochistan, raising concerns over enforced disappearances. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee alleged both victims were previously taken by armed men linked to security forces. Rights groups highlighted a continuing pattern of disappearances and killings in the region, while Pakistani authorities have not issued an official response.

As cited in BNM's post, an important meeting was convened to present the report, presided over by Chapter President Muheem Abdul Rahim Baloch.

In a statement, the group said the seven individuals belonged to regular units of the Pakistani armed forces and had been convicted by what it referred to as the "Baloch National Court" for alleged involvement in enforced disappearances, abuses against civilians, and other war crimes.
