Peshawar [Pakistan], May 26 (ANI): At least five terrorists were killed and two security personnel lost their lives in a gun battle in Peshawar's Hassan Khel area, ARY News reported, citing the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.
Havaldar Shafiq Ullah, 36, of the Karak district and Captain Hussain Jahangir, 25, of the Rahim Yar Khan area, were both killed during the operation, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations.
The operation takes place in the midst of an increase in terrorist attacks nationwide, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, following the government-broken truce with the banned militant organisation Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan in November 2022.
Earlier on April 9, during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in South Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), security forces shot and killed two terrorists, according to ARY News.
According to the ISPR, two terrorists who were still actively engaged in a number of terrorist attacks in the vicinity were shot and killed by security officers. (ANI)

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

"We reject this statement made by Pakistan on the matter. India's credentials regarding non-proliferation are impeccable and well recognised by the global community. A country with a well-documented history of clandestine nuclear proliferation can hardly preach the virtues of export controls and proliferation risks. Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
