Islamabad [Pakistan], May 14 (ANI): Pakistan has expressed its concern over the decision of the United States to move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
In a statement, the Pakistan Foreign Office said, "Despite calls by the international community to comply with UN General Assembly and Security Council resolutions on the two-state solution, US is moving its Embassy to the Holy City of Jerusalem. This represents a violation of international law and several United Nations Security Council resolutions, in particular resolutions 476 and 478."
According to Geo TV, the Foreign Office statement further revealed that Pakistan's Parliament too had objected to the U.S. decision.
The Foreign Office also said that Islamabad continues to stand firmly with the Palestinian people.
