The session was briefed by interim Finance Minister Dr Shamshad Akhtar about preparations for the next FATF meeting, reported Geo TV.
Dr Akhtar gave a detailed presentation to the meeting about the upcoming FATF meeting in Paris and the measures, both administrative as well as legal, taken so far by the country to meet FATF requirements, the report quoted, PM Office, as saying, in a statement issued by it.
The NSC reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to work with FATF and other international organisations in achieving common goals and shared objectives.
FATF, in February, decided to put Islamabad on its so-called greylist of countries that do not take adequate measures to curb terrorism financing.
The session, which was attended by the country's top civilian and military leadership, also discussed Pakistan's internal and external situation.
The military officials briefed NSC on the ongoing actions against terrorism.
Furthermore, the caretaker prime minister also briefed the committee on his Thursday's telephonic conversation with US Vice President Mike Pence, who congratulated the former on assuming the PM office.(ANI)
