Islamabad [Pakistan], April 11 (ANI): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has temporarily frozen hiring by public institutions due to general elections that are to take place in July.

Pak EC temporarily freezes government appointments

Islamabad [Pakistan], April 11 (ANI): The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has temporarily frozen hiring by public institutions due to general elections that are to take place in July.

A statement issued on Wednesday said a hiring freeze is being put in place for federal, provincial and local governments to ensure transparency in polls.

However, there is no freeze for federal and provincial public service commission jobs.

All development schemes taken up after April 1, 2018 will also be put to a halt. (ANI)
