New Delhi [India], Oct 25 (ANI): Outgoing Egyptian Ambassador to India Hatem Tageldin penned a letter expressing gratitude to External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj.
Expressing appreciation to his "second home" India, Tageldin went on to outline the close relations shared by India and Egypt. He mentioned the new approach towards inter-country relations that have been undertaken by leaders of both the nations in response to the "ever-changing regional and global political, economic and social atmosphere".
He went on to outline the areas of cooperation between the two nations, which will gradually restore "the former glory of the golden era of the Egyptian-Indian relations".
"Mutual benefit and brotherly ties dictate the nature of the relations between Egypt and India. We have both witnessed similar challenges throughout our history, seeing eye to eye on almost all global issues, and championing the efforts towards building a more comprehensive and conducive global governance system. The latter shall guarantee the peace and prosperity of the developing nations, and creating a safer and more sustainable environment for future generations," the letter addressed to the EAM read.
Talking about his personal experiences, the Egyptian Ambassador also talked about what made his stay in India endearing and drew similarities between both the nations. "India just like Egypt embraces you, as it brilliantly represents an illustration of what humanity across the spectrum was, is, and has the will to become. They have the ability to constantly remind you that you are facing all life's components with all its magnificence. They both have a beating heart that enriched and ushered me to exert my utmost efforts to get both in tune."
The Ambassador further lauded the Indian state and wrote, "After spending four years in New Delhi, and throughout my visits to the different states, I came to realise that India is in a state of motion, vigorous, flowing and constantly forcing its way through all the barriers; presenting a people biased approach towards prosperity."
He signed off the letter on an uplifting note, where he said that India forever changes a person. "It's governed throughout history by a set of moral doctrines and an energy that you have to embrace in order to appreciate its brilliance. Just like a speeding train, determined to reach its goal, reminding you that change is a constant and that India will forever change you."
"In conclusion, you will never experience the world, if you have never experienced India," read Tageldin's concluding notes. (ANI)
