Washington D.C. [USA], Jan 02 (ANI): The outgoing United States Ambassador to United Nations Nikki Haley has slammed UNESCO and termed it one of the most "corrupt" UN agencies.
This comes a day after US and Israel officially quit the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
"UNESCO is among the most corrupt and politically biased UN agencies. Today the US withdrawal from this cesspool became official," Haley tweeted.
According to Fox News, US had filed its notice to withdraw from the UNESCO in October 2017 under Trump Administration, which was followed by the withdrawal notice filed by administration of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. (ANI)
