Davos [Switzerland], Jan 26 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday met several business tycoons and also participated in development corporation sessions on the fourth day of his Davos tour.

Naidu met the President of Pfizer Vaccines, Susan Silbermann, who called on him during the World Economic Forum.

The Chief Minister approved to introduce a vaccine by Pfizer for pneumonia in Andhra Pradesh. Pfizer is one of the world's premier biopharmaceutical companies.

Naidu also met Ravi Raheja from Raheja Group and invited them to build Mindspace in Andhra Pradesh similar to Raheja Mindspace in Hyderabad.

The officials informed the Chief Minister that they will act on his suggestion and soon come down to Andhra Pradesh to explore land and other infrastructural facilities.

Naidu also met CEO of Lixil Group, Kinya Seto and requested them to build Amaravati into a hub for construction materials. The Lixil Group, is a sanitary ware and ceramic products manufacturing company and wants to manufacture for the Indian market as well as for export purposes.

Seto further informed the Chief Minister that "they are planning to invest Rs.1,500 crores in three phases and are looking for skilled labour." He also informed the Chief Minister that they can start the production by the end of the year.

The Chief Minister assured all possible cooperation from state government and said that "the skill development corporation will help them in training the manpower".

Naidu met SAP's Global Head of Digital Government, Peter Selfridge and asked for support on development of a system which can help the government with predictive analytics of state revenue and expenditure. This will help the government in understanding the specific amount to be allocated for the core sectors.

Along with financial and accounting software systems, SAP is also a known name in the field of skill development and smart cities.

The Chief Minister met President and CEO of Dassault Systemes, Bernard Charles, and asked them to bring those technologies to Amaravati. "Send a team to Amaravati, and you can study what systems can be introduced," Naidu said.

Meanwhile, Charles said that because of the implementation of their technologies, there were zero accidents in air transportation last year. He said that these technologies can be transferred from aerospace to other domains, by applying the same science.

"Monitoring and prediction of the condition of plane parts is the key", he said.

Lastly, the Chief Minister invited the CEO of Alghanim Industries, Omar Alghanim, to locate one of their factories in Andhra Pradesh, as there is a huge demand in construction in Amaravati.

"The government is taking up massive housing projects", he said.

Alghanim Industries is known for manufacturing construction material and they agreed to send a team to Andhra Pradesh soon. (ANI)
