Pyongyang [Korea DPR], Nov 16 (ANI): North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un inspected the successful test of a new unspecified "high-tech tactical" weapon amidst stalled talks with the United States over the denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula.
Quoting the Korean Central Broadcasting Station, Yonhap News Agency reported that Kim undertook the inspections at a testing site at a national defense institute without disclosing the exact testing location or revealing the nature of the weapon.
"The state-of-the-art weapon that has been long developed under the leadership of our party's dynamic leadership has a meaning of completely safeguarding our territory and significantly improving the combat power of our people's army," North Korean state media said.
They further underscored, "The testing of the high-tech tactical weapon has been carried out successfully, meeting all superior and powerful designing indicators."
The last field inspection by Kim was held in November last year when the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile had been tested. (ANI)
