Manned Soyuz MS 11 successfully blasts off towards ISS

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has provided additional details on the early return of SpaceX's Crew-11 mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

NASA will roll back the SLS (Space Launch System) rocket and Orion spacecraft for Artemis II off the launch pad, delaying the most-awaited crewed flyby mission to the Moon.

The statement read, "As part of robustly testing the vehicle prior to flight, NASA engineers are reviewing data after a confidence test Feb. 12, in which operators partially filled the SLS (Space Launch System) core stage liquid hydrogen tank to assess newly replaced seals in an area used to fill the rocket with propellant."

NASA on Thursday said that new analysis of decades-old data has turned up a significant result- the first discovery of ammonia-bearing compounds on the surface of Jupiter's moon Europa.

The colourful image, created using data gathered by the NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite in late autumn, focuses on the Mississippi River Delta region in southeastern Louisiana.

The cold spell is forecast to continue throughout the week, with conditions potentially peaking on Friday. Weather models also suggest that another round of snowfall could arrive over the weekend. For several days, forecasts have consistently indicated the possibility of a storm developing along the Southeast or Mid-Atlantic coastline, with the potential to become significant.

Crew-11's departure comes after one crew member experienced a medical concern that required bringing the entire team home sooner than originally planned. The mission, which launched in August 2025 for what was meant to be a six-to-eight-month science expedition, was cut short in order to provide advanced medical evaluation and care on Earth.

No regular data had been received for around two weeks. A "short fragment" indicates that the probe may have "rotated in an unexpected way".
