Magnitude 7 earthquake hits Indonesia

Lombok [Indonesia], August 5 (ANI): An earthquake measuring 7 magnitude on the Richter Scale struck Lombok island of Indonesia on Sunday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
As per reports, the quake that had a depth of 10 km, triggered a tsunami warning.
However, no casualties or injuries have been reported as yet.
This comes a week after an earthquake of magnitude 6.4 on the Richter scale rattled eastern Indonesia.
Indonesia is vulnerable to frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions as it is located in the Ring of Fire, an area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean. (ANI)
