Kabul [Afghanistan], June 27 (ANI): Another peace group from Kunar province in the East Afghanistan started their journey to Kabul in an attempt to restore peace in Afghanistan.
They started their journey on Monday. The Kunar convoy includes dozens of youths and civil society activists.
The Kunar convoy aims to support Helmand peace team that had already arrived in Kabul on June 18, as per Tolo News.
Last week, a group of Afghan migrants from Pakistan had also arrived in Kabul.
On June 19, the Helmand peace team said there is a need for everyone in Afghanistan to work towards establishing peace through intra-Afghan talks and without the involvement of foreigners.
The team also demanded that the government should announce a year-long ceasefire for these talks to take place in a calm environment.
On June 25, a suicide attack in Kunar province in the East Afghanistan claimed eight lives and injured four people.
The explosion took place near a police outpost in Sawkai district at around 8pm (local time).
The incident occurred when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive near a check post of Afghan Local Police. (ANI)

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

"We reject this statement made by Pakistan on the matter. India's credentials regarding non-proliferation are impeccable and well recognised by the global community. A country with a well-documented history of clandestine nuclear proliferation can hardly preach the virtues of export controls and proliferation risks. Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
