Kulsoom Nawaz discharged from London hospital

Islamabad [Pakistan], September 30 (ANI): The daughter of former prime minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, Maryam said her mother Kulsoom Nawaz has been discharged from the hospital and her further treatment, including chemotherapy, would start next week.

Kulsoom went for a third operation for lymphoma on September 21 in a London hospital, for which she was diagnosed last month.

"Shukar Alhamdulillah, Ami [Kulsoom Nawaz] is better, discharged from the hospital and back home. Her further treatment including chemotherapy starts next week." Maryam said, in a tweet.

The wife of ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif won the NA-120 by-poll last week.

The seat had fallen vacant after Nawaz's disqualification by the top court in a judgment in the Panama Papers case on July 28. (ANI)
