Japan Foreign Minister to visit India

New Delhi [India], Dec 29 (ANI): Foreign Minister of Japan Taro Kono will be on his maiden trip to India from January 7 to 9 2019.

New Delhi [India], Dec 29 (ANI): Foreign Minister of Japan Taro Kono will be on his maiden trip to India from January 7 to 9 2019.
Embassy of Japan in India confirmed that Kono will hold various engagements including meetings with leaders of the Indian Government.
Japan and India have been working closely on several projects. According to sources, India and Japan will soon negotiate a logistics sharing deal that would allow their armed forces to share military facilities.
Last week, a Japanese Navy ship JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force) Samidare visited Kochi. The Japan Navy officials interacted with several Indian Navy Officials. During the stay at Kochi, various activities such as the visit of Indian Navy specialists onboard JMSDF Samidare and professional interaction between the two navies were conducted.(ANI)
