Indian woman among 31 killed in Nepal bus mishap

Kathmandu [Nepal], Oct 28 (ANI): At least 31 people, including an Indian woman, were killed when a bus carrying passengers to Kathmandu skidded off the main highway and plunged into Trishuli River at Ghatbesi in Dhading district.

Indian woman among 31 killed in Nepal bus mishap

Kathmandu [Nepal], Oct 28 (ANI): At least 31 people, including an Indian woman, were killed when a bus carrying passengers to Kathmandu skidded off the main highway and plunged into Trishuli River at Ghatbesi in Dhading district.

An official of the Indian Mission in Nepal confirmed that the woman, identified as Mamatadevi Thakur from Bihar state, was killed in the mishap.

The accident occurred on the Prithvi Highway that connects Kathmandu with the southern plains.

Police have recovered 20 bodies from the river, out of which identities of 12 have been ascertained, the Kathmandu Post reported.

The death toll is expected to rise in the incident.

The exact number of passengers on board the bus is not known, therefore, rescuers have no idea how many

people might have been affected by the tragedy. (ANI)
