Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief

Islamabad [Pakistan], June 20 (ANI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan had on Tuesday demanded the replacement of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra.
In a letter to interim Prime Minister Justice (R) Nasirul Mulk, the PTI Chief said that the process of free and fair elections would be threatened if Jhagra continued to hold office.
Imran stated that the role of KP Governor was questionable on different levels, as per Geo News.
Khan pointed out that Jhagra still holds financial administrative powers over the now-defunct Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
Imran complained that Jhagra also intervenes in the political affairs of the region, claiming that he also played a partisan role in the politics of entire KP.
Imran further said that the KP governor was appointed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), all of whose bureaucrats were seeking to influence the outcome of the upcoming general elections.
The PTI chief brought into Mulk's notice that the caretaker governments were moving at an extremely slow pace, delaying the process of rectifying the present situation.
And so he urged the interim Prime Minister to replace Jhagra and remove others who would hinder the process of free and fair elections. (ANI)

MEA rejects Pakistan’s statement on India-Canada deal

"We reject this statement made by Pakistan on the matter. India's credentials regarding non-proliferation are impeccable and well recognised by the global community. A country with a well-documented history of clandestine nuclear proliferation can hardly preach the virtues of export controls and proliferation risks. Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
