Fire shrouds popular Dhaka underground market

Dhaka [Bangladesh], Jan 5 (ANI): A fire broke out at a popular underground market in the Bangladeshi capital today afternoon.

According to Daily Star, seven firefighter units were present at the Gulistan underground market and were trying to douse the fire out.

Ziaur Rahman, an official from the city's Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, said: The fire started after 3:30 pm (local time) and we are trying to put the fire out."

So far, no casualties have been reported. It is yet to be ascertained what caused the fire.

The Gulistan underground market, situated in the heart of Dhaka is popular among the locals. It mainly deals in electronic products. (ANI)
