Kabul [Afghanistan], Nov 28 (ANI): An explosion rocked Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul on Wednesday evening. Details regarding the loss of lives and properties are still awaited.
Police confirmed that the blast occurred near a security camp in the east of Kabul, reported Tolo News. Head of Kabul's Police District 9 Bismillah Taban said that the explosion was a car bomb targeting a military installation called G4S security camp.
Few eyewitnesses and residents of the area stated that gunfire was heard from the scene of the incident. They also said that a number of residential houses were damaged in the explosion.
However, Kabul police spokesman Basir Mujahid denied the gunfire report and said that security forces were on their way to the attack scene.
The Ministry of Public Health has not confirmed the figures of casualties if any but the eyewitnesses claimed that as many as eight people were wounded. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. (ANI)
