Defence expert backs Baloch's urge to designate Musharraf as global terrorist

New Delhi [India], December 3 (ANI): Defence expert Qamar Agha came in support of a Baloch leader who urged the United States to designate Prime Minister Pervez Musharraf as a global terrorist.

Stating Prof Naela Quadri Baloch's demand to be relevant, Agha told ANI, "I think there is a reality in the statement of Prof Baloch. The way General Pervez Musharaf had come out in support of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Jama'at-ud-Da'wah that are dubbed by the United Nations Security Agency as international terrorist organisations reveals everything."

Agha claimed Musharraf to be responsible for spreading terrorism in Balochistan.

"He is responsible for the murder of Akbar Bugti, an important Baloch leader, which was condemned by the international community. Besides Bugti, hundreds of other Baloch nationalists were killed and tortured during his rule. He is responsible for spreading terrorism in Balochistan," said Agha.

Earlier on November 30, Prof Baloch, head of the World Baloch Women Forum (WBWF), had urged the United States to start compiling information for satisfactorily fulfilling statutory criteria for designation of former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf as Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGTs).

In a statement, he said, "We strongly urge the US to immediately start compiling information for satisfactorily fulfilling statutory criteria for designation of Pervez Musharraf as Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGTs) under Executive Order (E.O.) 13224, for associating with US designated terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and take appropriate steps to freeze all his assets and interests in the United States."
