Strasbourg [France], Dec 15(ANI): A fourth victim of the shootout which took place at a Christmas market here on December 11 breathed his last on Friday.

Strasbourg [France], Dec 15(ANI): A fourth victim of the shootout which took place at a Christmas market here on December 11 breathed his last on Friday.
CNN, while quoting French authorities, confirmed that the man, identified as an Italian journalist Antonio Megalizzi, was on life support since he was shot at the marketplace.
Soon after, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte expressed condolences on the death of Antonio, and tweeted: "Deep sorrow for the death of Antonio Megalizzi, a young man with a great passion for journalism, for radio, for investigations and for European institutions."
The Italian journalist, who specialised in European affairs, was in Strasbourg to follow the European Parliament.
Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini tweeted, "A prayer for Antonio Magalizzi, and the commitment that people won't die like that anymore."
Among the others who lost their lives in the incident are a 45-year-old Thai tourist, an Afghan native who has been living in Strasbourg for the past 15 years, as well as a local.
The market has been currently reopened for the people to want to light candles or lay flowers at the shooting site as a tribute to the victims.
Meanwhile, the accused, identified as Cherif Chekatt, was neutralised on Thursday (local time). (ANI)
