Islamabad [Pakistan], Mar 6 (ANI): Just a day after Pakistan proscribed Hafiz Saeed's Jama'at-ud-Da'wah (JuD) and Falah-i-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), the governments of Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab have taken administrative control over or sealed several establishments run by the terror groups.
A seminary, hospital and two dispensaries, run by JuD, in Rawalpindi were sealed, while the Sindh government has taken administrative control of 56 facilities run by the groups, including schools, hospitals and madrassas.
"These outfits had four madrassas, schools and dispensaries in the city which have all been taken over by the district administration," Quetta's Deputy Commissioner Tahir Zafar Abbasi told Dawn.
There has been intense global pressure against Pakistan to stop supporting terrorists and terror outfits after India mounted a diplomatic campaign in this regard.
Tensions have been soaring between India and Pakistan following the Pulwama terror attack, the responsibility of which has been taken by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). India lost over 40 CRPF personnel when a JeM operative targeted their convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on February 14.
However, there has been no new action by Pakistan against JeM. Even though the terror outfit was put in the proscribed list in 2002, it has lately been operating openly while its chief, Masood Azhar, roams about freely in Pakistan. (ANI)
