219th Corps Commanders' Conference in Pakistan on Thursday

Islamabad [Pakistan], Mar 7 (ANI): Pakistan Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Bajwa on Thursday said only the country has the right to use its force when required.
In a veiled reference to India, Bajwa, while addressing the 219th Corps Commanders' Conference, said, "No one can make us budge through use or threat of use of force."
"Pakistan is on the positive trajectory of peace, stability and progress. No one can make us budge through the use or threat of use of force. Similarly, policy and the right of use of force shall remain the prerogative of the state alone,” said Bajwa.
Bajwa remarks come during escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. A day after India launched "pre-emptive" and "non-military" strike against JeM in Pakistan's Balakot, the fighter jets of the two countries engaged in a dogfight in the skies of Jammu and Kashmir after Pakistani F-16 planes transgressed into the Indian air space.
One of the F-16s was shot down by the Indian Air Force, which also lost a MiG-21 fighter plane whose pilot Wing Commander was taken into captivity by the Pakistan Army when he landed in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) after ejection.
During the press conference, Bajwa also reviewed the National Action Plan and directed further actions to "accelerate its implementation while rendering full assistance". (ANI)
