Code of conduct issued for Pakistan general elections

Karachi [Pakistan], June 6 (ANI): The interim Sindh Home Ministry on Tuesday issued a code of conduct and guidelines for the upcoming Pakistan general elections, scheduled on July 25.

Karachi [Pakistan], June 6 (ANI): The interim Sindh Home Ministry on Tuesday issued a code of conduct and guidelines for the upcoming Pakistan general elections, scheduled on July 25.
As per the directives, the interim government would not allow hate speech in public rallies. It would not allow anyone to instigate violence during the election campaign. Violations of these rules would call for strict legal action.
Parties would not be allowed to use the property of the state for political canvassing. It also said that prior No Objection Certificate should be taken from district's SSP for its corner meeting or small public rallies.
The parties will also to inform in advance about the time and route of their rally to ensure vehicular traffic flow.
The political parties will also have to submit video recordings of their meetings to the concerned police station, the guidelines said. (ANI)
