Dhading [Nepal], Nov.29 (ANI): At least seven people have lost their lives after a passenger bus carrying about 30 people plunged into Trishuli River of Nepal on Wednesday morning after colliding with a truck.

Twenty five others sustained injuries in the accident which took place in the Icchakamana Rural Municipality-3 along the Privithivi Highway in Chitwan District of Nepal.

The bus of Namaste Arghakhanchi (LU 2 KHA 291) en route to Arghakhanchi from Kathmandu collided with a truck (NA 6 KHA 4972) en route to Kathmandu and plunged into the river at around 9.15 a.m.

The bus was later found 25 feet deep inside the water by Nepal Police divers.

"It was a head-on collision. The circumstances show that the bus had entered the opposite lane and it struck with the truck and then fell into the river," Chitwan District Police Office Chief Deepak Thapa said.
