Bomb exploded targeting Nepal PM Dueba's election campaign

Kathmandu [Nepal] Nov. 28 (ANI): At least eight have been injured in Kathmandu's Dang explosion in Tulsipur area.

Two unidentified assailants hurled the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) bomb targeting the election campaign of the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

Prime Minister Deuba was participating in the election campaign of Nepali Congress in Tulsipur Sub-Metropolitan City-5.

A duo, riding a bike, reportedly had hurled the bomb near the gathering spot.

A police investigation is underway.

"The bomb exploded some five hundred meters far from PM Dueba's election campaign. We have started the investigation," District Chief Superintendent of Dang, Durga Singh told ANI over phone.

Temporary Police Personnel Binod Chaudhary along with Devi DC, Sunita Chaudhary, Nardevi Budhathoki, Bamraj Sunar, Neb Bahadur KC, Parbati KC and Himlal Rasaili have been identified as the injured ones.(ANI)
