Blast kills one in Afghanistan

Kabul [Afghanistan], Jan 20 (ANI): At least one person was killed and another injured after their vehicle hit a roadside mine in Paktia province of Afghanistan on Saturday morning.

According to the Tolo News, Provincial police chief spokesman Sardar Wali Tabasam has confirmed that the incident took place in Gardez city and said that the investigation into the case is underway.

Earlier in October 2017, at least 41 people died and dozens were injured when a suicide car bomber and gunmen attacked a provincial Afghan police training academy.

The militants had used a truck and armored vehicle stolen from the security forces to carry out the coordinated attack. (ANI)
