New York [U.S.A.], July 5 (ANI): At least 17 people have died due to heat wave and humidity in Quebec, Canada.

New York [U.S.A.], July 5 (ANI): At least 17 people have died due to heat wave and humidity in Quebec, Canada.
CNN quoted Dr. David Kaiser of Montreal's Regional Public Health Department as saying, "The victims were mostly over the age of 50, male, and living alone," adding, "None had air conditioning."
12 people died in Montreal and five others died in Eastern Townships.
19 cooling stations in public health and social services buildings across the city are opened by Montreal health officials.
People were asked to check on their neighbours and family members, who may be at risk in the high heat by the authorities. (ANI)
