Afghan interior ministry confirms death of 25 Haqqani Network insurgents

Kabul [Afghanistan], Oct.21 (ANI): Afghanistan's Interior Ministry on Saturday confirmed through a statement that 25 Haqqani Network insurgents had been eliminated in an operation in Gelan district in the country's Paktika province.

Kabul [Afghanistan], Oct.21 (ANI): Afghanistan's Interior Ministry on Saturday confirmed through a statement that 25 Haqqani Network insurgents had been eliminated in an operation in Gelan district in the country's Paktika province.

Tolo News quoted the statement as further saying that a large cache of weapons had been seized and destroyed in the joint Afghan forces operation on Friday.

The statement said that at least 30 insurgents were wounded.

There were no casualties among security forces and residents. (ANI)
