6 Taliban militants killed in Afghanistan

Kabul [Afghanistan], April 21 (ANI): At least six Taliban militants including a local leader of the outfit Qari Amrullah have been killed during a clash with the Afghan forces in the war-torn country's Faryab province.

The clash between the armed forces and the Taliban militants took place in the vicinity of Ghormach district, Khaama Press, reported citing the Afghan Military as saying.

At least four Taliban militants and an Afghan soldier have been wounded during the clash.

No comments have been received from the anti-government armed militant groups including Taliban militants in connection with this report by far.

This comes in tandem with various ongoing counter-terrorism operations in certain northern provinces as the militant and terrorist groups are attempting to expand their insurgency activities in the north.

According to the report, at least eight militants were killed and wounded during the Afghan Air Force airstrikes in Pashtun Kot and Andkhoi districts of Faryab in March end.(ANI)

Such ludicrous statements are nothing more than an attempt by Pakistan to distract from its own abysmal record," he said.
