3.4 magnitude quake hits Nepal's Bhaktapur district

The death toll from the devastating flash floods in Nepal has climbed to 1,410m while 6,145 people remain missing, according to the latest update issued by Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), as rescue, relief and recovery operations continue across the affected districts.

The high-level meeting took place during Wagle's first official visit to India since assuming office as Nepal's Finance Minister. India's Foreign Secretary and the Secretary of the Department of Economic Affairs also attended the discussions.

The embassies of Vietnam, the Netherlands and Nepal in India on Thursday extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday, wishing him good health, happiness and continued success.

Ahead of the Nepal Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle's arrival in Delhi on Thursday, the Nepal Finance Ministry presented the purpose of the 3-day visit, which includes a bilateral meeting with the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. 

Nepal Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle arrived in the national capital on Thursday. On arrival, he was welcomed by senior officials present at the airport.
