3 earthquakes kill 8 people, injure 12 in Philippines

Manila [Philippines], July 27 (ANI): At least eight people lost their lives while 12 others were injured after three earthquakes shook northern Philippines in the last 24 hours.

Manila [Philippines], July 27 (ANI): At least eight people lost their lives while 12 others were injured after three earthquakes shook the northern Philippines in the last 24 hours.
According to the US Geological Survey, the first tremor, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, was felt east of the island of Itbayat here on Friday evening.
A 5.9 magnitude tremor was then felt after a gap of over three hours in the same region. The third 5.7 magnitude quake struck the area in the wee hours of Saturday, Sputnik reported.
Infrastructural damage has also been reported in the area. Quoting Chinese state media, Sputnik reported that a historic church and houses have sustained damage in the region.
No tsunami warning has been issued yet. (ANI)
