28 Taliban militants killed in Afghanistan

Kabul [Afghanistan], Mar 12 (ANI): At least 28 Taliban militants were killed and more than 15 others were injured in airstrikes carried out by the Afghan air forces in Uruzgan Province in Afghanistan, local military officials said on Monday.

Kabul [Afghanistan], Mar 12 (ANI): At least 28 Taliban militants were killed and more than 15 others were injured in airstrikes carried out by the Afghan air forces in Uruzgan Province in Afghanistan, local military officials said on Monday.

According to an Afghan military source, the airstrikes were carried out in the last 24 hours in Khas Uruzgan and Chora districts of the province, reported The Khaama Press.

Meanwhile, counter-terrorism operations are underway in other restive districts of Uruzgan Province to crack down on anti-government armed forces.

Last week, 15 Taliban militants were killed and 16 others were injured in a series of airstrikes in Khas Uruzgan district, Afghanistan's Ministry of Defence (MoD) had said in a statement. (ANI)
