Kabul [Afghanistan], Mar 11 (ANI): At least 22 insurgents have been killed in ground and air operations conducted by the Afghan forces across the country.

Tolo News quoted Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Sunday as saying that the operations against the insurgents were carried out in the vicinity of Basram in Mihtarlam, Laghman's province capital, Kama, Nazyan districts of Nangarhar province, Nahar Saraj, Nad Ali and Washir districts of Helmand province.

During the operations, several vehicles, weapons, ammunition and bases belonging to the insurgents were also destroyed.

Yesterday, 16 insurgent were killed in two separate army operations carried out in Helmand province.

No insurgent has commented on the incident, so far. (ANI)
