Florida [US], Feb 15 (ANI): At least 14 people were injured after an unknown gunman opened fire at a high school in Parkland, Florida.

As per local media reports, the incident at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, northwest of Fort Lauderdale is still active.

The shooting suspect is said to be in police custody.

Dispatch at the Broward County Sheriff's Office confirmed the school was on lockdown and police were on location.

Moreover, Coral Springs Police asked the public to avoid the area as it was an active scene.

Live television footage of the area showed scores of people running and walking away from the school, while many emergency vehicles including police cars, ambulances and fire trucks were present there. (ANI)
