Cairo [Egypt], Feb 28 (ANI): At least 12 people died and 15 others were injured when two passenger trains collided with each other in Beheira Governorate in Egypt on Wednesday.

According to the country's health ministry, the death toll is likely to rise, reports Egyptian channel Extra News.

While the reason behind the accident is yet to be ascertained, the rescue workers, along with 30 ambulances, are present at the spot, reports Sputnik.

44 people were killed and nearly 180 others were injured after two passenger trains had collided near Egypt's coastal city of Alexandria in August last year. (ANI)
