California [United States], November 1 (ANI): Google employees are planning to arrange a worldwide walk out of their offices in protest of the company's handling of sexual misconduct cases.
The walkout will start at 11 AM local time in Tokyo and will be observed by other offices across the world at the same time in that time-zone. According to a Cnet report, the employees have put down a list of demands for CEO Sundar Pichai and co-founder Larry Page including a call to end private arbitration in cases of sexual assault and harassment.
The protest comes after an investigative report on alarming cases of sexual misconduct at Google. Recently, it was reported that the termination of Android founder Andy Rubin was over sexual misconduct allegations and that he was also paid an exit package of USD 90 million.
Last week, another Google employee, Rich DeVaul who was the director at Google X, also resigned on grounds of similar allegations. (ANI)
