Celebrate World Health Day with these five personal health companion apps

New Delhi [India], Apr. 07 (ANI): The World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on April 7, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organisation (WHO), as well as other related institutions.

Here is a list of five Yoga apps that can help one promote a better lifestyle and encourage positive change:

1. nexGTv's Yoga App

If you have ever thought of learning yoga from the experts and doing it like a pro, then look no further. nexGTv, India's largest subscription-led app, has announced the launch of the nexGTv Yoga app.

The app will allow nexGTv users around the world to learn yoga techniques and practices on-the-go through videos by expert practitioners such as Baba Ramdev and Mukul Dev, as well as celeb coaches such as Shilpa Shetty and Bipasha Basu.

2. Daily Yoga

Daily Yoga offers a big library of more than 50 yoga classes and 400 plus workouts. The app comes with seven yoga plans geared towards beginners, and various other exercises, based on duration and intensity.

Daily Yoga further provides consumers an advanced module.

3. Universal Breathing: Pranayama

Yoga focuses quite a lot on breathing patterns. And the Universal Breathing app is intended to help users master the same.

It offers various exercises designed around the 'Pranayama' method of breath control. The app includes structured courses with short exercises that come with a timer and an animated guide. Users can also track their progress and learn more about Pranayama, through the app.

4. 5-minute Yoga

The Yoga tools from Sadhguru app for Android and iOS will make sure that one no longer gives the excuse of not having enough time to practice Yoga.

Designed by Sadhguru, this app is based on the science of Upa-Yoga which is focused on physical and psychological benefits derived from the discipline.

All one needs to do is take out five minutes every day to practice from a set of seven, five minute Upa-Yoga practices. The app also offers guidelines and explanatory videos to help one do the asanas right.

5. Office Yoga

For those stuck with a sedentary work profile, the free for Android Office Yoga app by Guru Inc. offers simple, 10-minute yoga workout lessons which can be done midday or in between breaks.

Curapod review: The Future of at-home pain management?

The Curapod by Litemed operates on the principles of Photobiomodulation (PBM). To simplify, it utilizes a combination of red and near-infrared (NIR) light. These specific wavelengths are designed to penetrate up to 70mm into the tissue. Unlike a standard heat pack, which is commonly seen in almost every household and only provides surface-level relief, Curapod targets cellular activity and local blood flow to support the body's natural recovery process. It is a non-invasive, drug-free approach aimed at common pain points like the lower back, knees, and shoulders.
