Mojo Networks launches 'WiFi Think Fest' contest for students
New Delhi [India], July 6 (ANI): Mojo Networks, a pioneer in cloud-managed Wi-Fi launched its first 'Wifi Think Fest' for students across India. The contest is an attempt to encourage students to take an out-of-the-box approach towards developing new applications of WiFi technology. The awards ceremony for this contest will be held at the fourth Wi-Fi Knowledge Summit, an initiative which brings together WiFi practitioners and enthusiasts to develop best practices for WiFi planning, deployment and optimisation. The summit will be a two-day event from September 14-15, 2017 at IIT-Bombay. The contest is open to students currently enrolled in an undergraduate/postgraduate course in India. No technical skills are required. Each entry must include the name of a mentor from the institute/college/university of the student. The mentor could be a faculty member or IT dept staff member. Participants can submit their idea in the form of a document, presentation slides or app. Students can register at http://wifi-ks.org/wifi_think_fest/ The deadline to submit entries is August 15. The winners will be announced on August 30 and felicitated at the Wi-Fi Knowledge Summit. "Our aim behind the conception of this Think Fest is to harness the imagination of young minds for extending the power of WiFi beyond just a means of internet access. We are encouraging all students to come up with innovative ideas to unleash the power of WiFi in making their campus a smart campus, city a smart city," said Mr. Pravin Bhagwat, Co-founder and CTO, Mojo Networks. "Top national colleges like IITs, NITs, IIITs and IIMs want WiFi across their campuses and spend considerable time and effort putting together vendors to look for this technology. A massively scalable WiFi Management Console that can manage WiFi at top 100 national universities with a sharable architecture while giving flexibility to each university is feasible. The same approach can be used for smart cities, government departments and even Gram Panchayats. A unified approach for critical national digital infrastructure is efficient and possible with the current state of the art in WiFi technology. WiFi is poised to truly enable digital India," added Kiran Deshpande, Co-founder and President, Mojo Networks. (ANI)
