Soon, you can demote group admins on WhatsApp

London [UK], Jan 14 (ANI): Are the administrators (admins) of your WhatsApp groups not active enough?

Then all you need to do is dismiss that person as admin, courtsey the new feature of the instant messaging platform.

The makers have developed this 'Dismiss As Admin' feature for demoting the group admins, reports The Independent.

As per the current functioning of the app, only group admins are allowed to add participants to an existing chat or remove them from the group. However, with the new feature in place, participants can gain control of the group once admins lose their privileges.

The feature, which is in its pilot phase, is presently available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android and is in the process of development on iOS.

However, the global rollout of this feature remains presently uncertain. (ANI)
