Karnataka [India], August 16 (ANI): One of the biggest turn-offs for some of the latest smartphones is their hefty price tags. The difference between desire and reality is hard to bridge. But as they say, if you can't buy it, rent it.
Homegrown furniture rental service Rentomojo has taken a step ahead to offer premium smartphones for rent through its portal. From its electronics rental section, the company is offering smartphones and smart devices at as low as Rs 399 per month.
Currently, the devices on offer include the premium Apple iPhone X 64GB at a rental cost of Rs 4,299 with a refundable deposit of Rs 9,998. So essentially the first-month payment you make for the premium phone is less than Rs 15,000.
Now, one of the interesting additions here is you get to own the product, if you wish to, after 24 months of renting it. The iPhone X is available at the owning cost of Rs 15,556. While the iPhone X has the highest rent, the Google Pixel 2 comes cheaper at Rs 2,099 per month rent.
Other devices on rent include the Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Note 8, Apple iPhone 8, and the Google Home smart speaker. (ANI)
