New Delhi [India], April 15 (ANI): With climbing fuel costs weighing down on their pockets, the average commuter is now looking at electric vehicles, which are both budget-friendly and gentle on the environment.
As the electric vehicle segment continues to evolve rapidly in India, car manufacturers are increasingly making inroads into EVs (Electric Vehicles).
Here is a list of 5 electric cars available in the Indian market, some of the which fall in the budget segment.
1. Strom Motors R3 --- Rs4.50 Lakh*
This car is regarded as one of the cheapest in the segment. It is a Fully Electric 2-Door 2-Seater with a Large Sun-Roof. Its display has a Triple Touchscreen Interface with Gesture and Voice Controls. It has a range of 200 KMS and a mileage of Rs.0.40/KM.
2. Tata Tigor EV --- Rs11.99 - 13.14 Lakh*
The key specifications of this compact electric sedan include comfort features. The interior is loaded with premium features such as a premium audio system, etc. It has a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor and 26 kWh Lithium-ion Battery pack.
3. Tata Nexon EV --- Rs14.54 - 17.15 Lakh*
This Tata electric vehicle V is a compact electric SUV which features the coupe-inspired exterior design as the petrol/diesel model. The interior is packed with features such as an electric sunroof, rear AC vents, etc. The electric SUV has fast charging compatible -- (0% to 80%): 1 hour 60 minutes.
4. MG ZS EV --- Rs21.99 - 25.88 Lakh*
The MG ZS EV is a 5-seater electric vehicle with a typical SUV design. The exterior is elegant with premium design elements such as sporty alloy wheels. 5. BYD E6 --- Rs29.15 Lakh*
The BYD e6 is an all-electric compact crossover/compact MPV manufactured by BYD from 2009. It is available with the Automatic transmission. The E6 is a 5 seater and has length of 4695, width of 1810 and a wheelbase of 2800. It has a battery capacity of 71.7 kWh and Motor Power of 70kWh.
