Yasir all praise for Pak mentors post Lord's success
Karachi, July 18 (ANI): Pakistani leg-spinner Yasir Shah has expressed his gratitude to the country's cricket team mentors after his maiden 10-wicket Test haul set up a historic 75-run win over England at Lord's. Yasir was adjudged Man of the Match for taking a total of 10 wickets across two innings as England struggled to build partnerships and were eventually bundled out for 207 on the fourth day while chasing a target of 283 runs. The 30-year-old, who played his first Test outside Asia and the UAE, revealed that his aim was to perform well with bat, the failure of which propelled him to do well with the ball, the Express Tribune reported. Thanking bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed and tour manager Intikhab Alam, Yasir said it was because of the former leg-spinners' wealth of knowledge and experience that he was able to execute well on the field. Pakistan, who claimed their first Test win at Lord's after a long gap of 20 years, have taken a 1-0 lead in the four-match series. The two sides will now lock horns in the second match at Old Trafford, starting from Friday. (ANI)
