Windies speedster Jerome Taylor retires from Test cricket
Kingston, July 12 (ANI): West Indies fast bowler Jerome Taylor has retired from Test cricket, according to the West Indies Cricket Board. The 32-year-old speedster, who claimed 130 wickets in 46 Tests, will continue to represent his nation in limited-overs formats, ESPNcricinfo reported. Taylor, who played his last Test in Sydney earlier this year, was left out of the squad for the upcoming series against India after giving 'formal notification' of his decision to retire. He has taken a five-wicket haul in an innings four times in his injury-interrupted career. His memorable performance came in 2009 when he returned figures of 5-11 to help West Indies dismantle England for 51 on their way to an innings victory. Taylor also grabbed six wickets against England in Barbados last year to help his side win the match and secure a 1-1 draw.(ANI)
